In the event of an emergency, time is the difference between life and death. Whether it is a fire or medical emergency it is our volunteer personnel responding to the aid of their neighbors who make the most significant impact. Trained volunteers make a difference by reducing the emergency response times and taking lifesaving actions when seconds count. Being a Volunteer Firefighter for the fire district is a very rewarding and valuable way to serve your community.
If you are considering a career in the fire service, volunteering builds a great foundation and gets your foot in the door. Gain valuable skills in: Emergency Medicine, Firefighting, Emergency Response, Rescue and Wildland Firefighting.
It takes dedication and approximately 250 hours of training within the first year to become a Volunteer Firefighter. Training provided can be tailored to fit your availability if you are willing to volunteer your time and effort. Volunteer firefighters must be: at least 17 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, have a clean driving record, clean criminal record and pass a background check.
